Listed below are medications that MUST be avoided for two (2) weeks prior and two (2) weeks following your surgery date.
Many medications, both prescriptive and over the counter, contain aspirin or other compounds that may cause bleeding problems in normal individuals when taken prior to or following a surgical procedure. Some
diet pills may cause heart rhythm problems when in combination with general anesthesia. If you have any questions regarding medications that you are currently taking, please talk to one of the medical staff prior to
your surgery date. Tylenol (acetaminophen) may be taken in place of many of these medications.
