Breast Implant Exchange – Case 7418
This 71-year-old female patient came to Dr. Brown to discuss having breast revision surgery. She had breast implants previously placed below the muscle and there was an indication on her MRI that the left breast implant might be ruptured. Her desires were for slightly larger breasts that were more lifted. In surgery, Dr. Brown removed both hardened capsules with her old implants and placed sutures to modify the breast pockets. She required Mentor memory gel smooth round high profile silicone implants with a volume of 400cc’s on the right and 450 cc’s on the left. A breast lift procedure was then performed to lift the existing breast tissue upwards so that it was in a position overlying the new breast implants. She is seen here in her post-operative pictures 3 months after surgery.
