Breast Implant Exchange – Case 7417
This 67-year-old female patient came to Dr. Brown to discuss having breast revision surgery. She had Dow Corning silicone implants placed in the 1970s. She suffered a ruptured implant and desired to have them removed and replaced. She also suffered capsular contractures on both sides. Dr. Brown performed removal of capsules and implants on both sides followed by saline implant placement. Each implant was inflated to a final volume of 400cc’s on each side. Saline implants were used and were good implants for her because she had adequate breast volume coverage over the implants.
