Chin Liposuction
Chin liposuction is a minimally invasive procedure that removes stubborn fat beneath the chin, often referred to as a “double chin,” to create a more defined jawline and neck contour.
This procedure is performed in-office under local anesthesia and typically takes about one hour. For patients interested in liposuction of the neck, the procedure is performed under general anesthesia.
Patients who are bothered by fullness under the chin that does not improve with diet and exercise, and who have good skin elasticity are candidates.
Recovery includes minimal bruising and swelling. A chin support garment is typically worn for about two weeks, as directed by Dr. Brown. Many patients return to normal activities within a few days, with results continuing to improve up to 6 months as swelling resolves.
