PROCEDURES COMMONLY COMBINED WITH A FACE LIFT

A facelift entails the removal of excess skin and fat, and the tightening of muscle tissue and sagging skin to provide a refreshed, natural-looking appearance. While a facelift can effectively correct issues such as jowls, under-eye hollows, and nasolabial folds, a facelift will not remove hanging neck skin, deep brow and forehead lines, and drooping eyelids.

Procedures commonly combined with facelifts to address these other problem areas include:

A brow lift focuses on lifting the appropriate portion of the brows and forehead to reduce frown lines between the brows, raise drooping eyebrows and smooth out forehead lines. A brow lift can be performed in conjunction with a facelift to reduce expressions of anger or exhaustion.

Likewise, baggy eyelids can contribute to a constant appearance of anger or worry. Eyelid surgery can be performed during your facelift to get rid of baggy upper or lower eyelids and remove excess skin and fat from the eyelids.

If your face is showing signs of wrinkles and sagging skin, your neck is likely affected as well. A neck lift is frequently conducted with a facelift to tighten loose skin, reduce fat deposits and remove the hanging skin that can accumulate below the chin. Soft-tissue fillers, known as dermal fillers or cosmetic injectables, may also be used with a facelift to enhance your results.
